About the place

The cosatal city is the commercial and industrial heart of Andhra Pradesh`s isolated nort-east corner, and is home to India`s largest shipbuilding yard. The best known sight is the rockey promontory known as the Dolphin`s Nose jutting into the harbour.

    About 157 km north-east of Hyderabad, warangal was the capital of the Kakatiya Kingdom, which covered the greater part of present day Andhra Pradesh from the late 12th century to early 14th century until it was conquered by the Tughlaqs of Delhi.
